Cassandra Carroll, therapist, counselor, warm, curious smile

Hi! I’m Cassandra.

I’m a therapist, mother, partner, mentor, educator, activist and healer. I’ve played many different roles and told many different stories, from small town to big city, over three different continents. What I first thought were false starts and uncertainty, ultimately lead me to where I am today and helped me cultivate this work of curiosity and compassion.

I’ve studied acting in Los Angeles and drama therapy in San Francisco. I’ve practiced cognitive behavioral therapy, mindful self-compassion and infant and early childhood mental health in and around Boston. I’ve walked alongside families from San Francisco to West Africa as they chose their path to healing.

Each journey that I’ve witnessed and each family that I’ve supported reminds me of my own path. Through connecting to my own family stories, I learned to hold my choices with compassion in the present even as I choose to change for my future. If you’ve made it this far, you’re ready for change, too. Check out my Offerings page to learn more and to get started.

  • "Cassandra has supported individuals, families, and practitioners in various roles in community behavioral health and private practice over the years. My experience with her is that she brings curiosity and humility to the work. She balances her passion for change-making with meeting individuals where they are at in their own personal journey."

    —Elizabeth Planje, LMHC

  • "Cassandra was a truly lifechanging therapist for me. She is so easy to talk to, warm empathetic, and funny. She celebrated my wins, commiserated with me during tough times. She gave me important tools to use, and I always looked forward to ending with some breathing or mindfulness. While my anxiety caused me to get a little nervous leading up to an appointment, once she popped up on screen, lightness and ease instantly takes over. She is truly an incredible person who made therapy helpful, engaging, and fun."
