Classes and Workshops

Sometimes we need to unlearn things. Not because they’re bad or broken, but because this way of being is a remnant from the past. With a little extra knowledge we can find a deeper level of knowing. And from that place we can practice engaging in our life in a new way that allows deeper connection and empowered ease.

I swore I’d do things differently with my kids. I promised myself. And now I catch myself doing and saying the exact same things that my parents did…

Sound familiar? Ever notice those same phrases that you heard growing up seeping into your household now? Without even noticing, it’s coming out of your mouth when you feel frustrated, fed up, or overwhelmed.

History doesn’t have to repeat itself. You’re here because you know that and you’re ready to make a change. With a little learning and self-compassion, we can choose to change the cycle.

In this live, online course, we’ll utilize didactic, experiential, and guided self-reflection to increase awareness of how generational cycles perpetuate and learn to become intentional about how we show up for our children and ourselves.

If you’ve ever thought,
They remind me of myself at that age
and then felt a sinking sadness or worry… This class is for you.

In this class you’ll learn to:

  • Notice and disrupt hurtful generational patterns

  • Utilize nervous system regulation to support yourself and your child

  • Engage mindfully with your kids from a place of grounded self-compassion

Let’s get curious about why we feel the way we feel and why we do the things we do.
Take the first step in healing your own inner child through showing up as the parent you always wanted to be.

Healing Generational Patterns: Whole-hearted Parenting

Panic? Rage? Numbing of one kind or another?
What happens to your system when you flip to autopilot?
Do you ever wonder why that is? Or where that came from?

Do you ever feel like you can see the patterns but you just can’t stop the loop? Do you look at your family and think, “Well, I know I don’t want that” but you don’t see any examples of what you DO want? If you learned growing up that your emotions were too big—if no one in your life taught you that it was okay to feel—if you’ve always felt that there had to be an easier way, but no one was there to show you—HERE is where you start.

This class is for adults who are ready to cultivate an intentional relationship to emotions and who want to feel more control over their mind-body connection. In this live, online course, we’ll utilize didactic, experiential, and guided self-reflection to cultivate the compassion needed to befriend your nervous system. We’ll look at generational patterns and why they develop in order to gain awareness of why we do the things we do. And we’ll practice gently slowing down to reorient your nervous system to rest, comfort and soothing.

In this introductory-level class you’ll:

  • Learn the science of emotions and nervous system regulation

  • Get curious about generational patterns and why they are the way they are

  • Practice grounding and mindfulness techniques to reorient to safety

    -Susan (parent)

  • "For the last 9 years I’ve witnessed Cassandra work alongside children and families thoughtfully and compassionately, supporting them alongside their journey of personal growth and development. Her passion is evident and highlighted in all facets of her work. "

    -Alison Carr, LICSW

  • "Cassandra was a truly lifechanging therapist for me. She is so easy to talk to, warm empathetic, and funny. She celebrated my wins, commiserated with me during tough times. She gave me important tools to use, and I always looked forward to ending with some breathing or mindfulness. While my anxiety caused me to get a little nervous leading up to an appointment, once she popped up on screen, lightness and ease instantly takes over. She is truly an incredible person who made therapy helpful, engaging, and fun."
